blah...small vent

Me and my FI have a super tentative guess list written out already. We are being realistic about it, knowing that by the time we send out invitations out, we won't be as close to some people as we are know. (And we kinda have an idea of who these people are).

Anyways, I was hanging out with 3 of my friends. One of them is a guy back in town for a few months (interships and whatnot), and than leaving again. He has changed completely from when we knew him before he left, and are pretty sure that when he leaves again we won't keep in contact. So, naturally, being awkward he asked if he was invited to the wedding. Granted, he was slightly drunk, and followed it by if we are having an open bar. I followed it by sarcastically saying he was not allowed to any place that would give him free liquor. (Note: I usually am sarcastic, so it was a typically response from me).

*sigh* Sorry for the rant. I'm pretty sure he won't remember anything due to all the whiskey he drank that night, but now I'm nervous that once we do have a finalized guest list (and if he isn't on it), if he is going to ask me about it again. And, while I know the normal advice is to say something about how the guest list isn't finished/or having a small wedding/ect, but those responses always seem forced to me, so I really have been hoping that I can avoid a lot of that awkwardness.
