Need your help! Hair pieces :)

Alright, so I am borrowing the veil that my mentor wore when she got married. The clip has been removed and I have found a plain clip that the veil can be attached to. I don't want just a plain clip, I know I want something on it, just not sure what.

I have been leaning towards red roses, but thinking maybe incorporating the black (my dress is black and white) through rhinestones or black feathers... not positive.
The veil is a plain white veil, elbow length, no decorations to it. I am planning on having it go into my hair in the top of a lower updo similar to this, so I want something that can decorate above where the veil sits when the comb is put in:



Any ideas?

Hmm, found this one that I like, I could do the veil in the back and then this off to the side.... I think it would look good?

do you want something more flat to your head or with volume?

I think the red rose is very pretty, and that color is gorgeous.

I'm sure you've seen black flower headpieces but just in case you haven't, here are a few ideas I saw online that might work if you are still interested in black headpieces although I'm not sure if it'd be too much with a veil:

I think the feather comb could be subtle enough but still add that bit of something I love the black roses Fluffy suggested too tho! Might have to steal the last one for myself lol

Grrrrr why must some things be so costly! Found one I am absolutely head over heels in love with but I don't think I can justify the cost, especially when you factor in shipping...

Um, I LOVE that. $75 does seem a bit much....BUT it has the Swvorski (spelling?) brooch....so that alone would justify it for me. Do it. You only get married once!

I wear a facinator in my hair when going out or even catering an upscale venue.. Might get a couple of wears out of it then it won't feel so expensive. It's too pretty to pass up!

Wow I saw that one you posted BMcLeodTeam on etsy and thought about showing you but figured it was way too much to justify linking it and getting your hopes up. Really glad though you came across it on your own; it did strike me as a beautiful combination of what you seemed to be looking for and made me think of you.

Maybe they'll have a sale or someone else can make something similar? I really hope it works out for you; nothing worse than getting your heart set on something that's perfect but just overbudget.

Tip from a dancer:  if you use feathers, use the nicest feathers.  Ostrich are lovely, in black you can get some lovely irredescents in coque feathers.  Make sure whoever made your fascinator did a good job getting the feathers on there.  You shouldnt see stitching or glue and you should be able to give a gentle tug without the feathers falling out.  You desrve something fab.  "Kick the tires" on your head piece and make sure part of it isnt going to fall off while you shimmy shake the night away.

FluffyGumDrop - I wasn't going to spend anywhere near that much, and was totally upset on the cost BUT FI has decided that because I saved so much on everything else attire & accessories related that its ok I am ordering it tonight!

I think you could make it yourself for far less.. If you think it is worth the cost buy it because you don't want to have the "I wish I had" for the rest of your marrige lol.

Hi, I had to post after I read that you loved that rose and feather hair facinator. I saw it a couple months age and couldn't stop thinking about it. She made it a little bit smaller for me..I ordered it a week ago. I can not wait to get it!!
