Hey Ladies,
So I'm not engaged yet but Mr.Owl and I have been talking about it for ages now. We were just looking at his list of upcoming projects (taxes, apartment hunting, etc.) and on it was engagement ring! I was so excited to see it on the list.
Then i realized how different we must be from traditional brides and grooms. I feel like in this day and age, it's silly for me to sit back and hope and pray for him to propose. We've discussed our future all along and even though he has asserted that he would like to propose to me, we've discussed all sorts of options. We've also decided that we'll go shopping together because I'm a helluva haggler and he stinks at it.
Did you all have open conversations like this with your SOs before getting engaged or did you 'wait in hopeful, agonizing silence' as so many waiting ladies do? I'm just curious to see how others' relationships work.
