So we're less than two weeks out and we've added two elements that appeal to our nerdy gamer side. We had already picked the metal version of Mortal Kombat as our reception entrance song, but that was about it for videogames.
First, I was looking for something to tie the balloons to (that BM's will be carrying down the aisle instead of flowers), after MOH and I went shopping and came up with a million terrible ideas, MOH suggested video game remotes!! I'm so excited, but a little nervous to be letting people borrow $250 worth of our videogame hardware for the day. I wish I had the cash to buy out all of the used remotes at Game Stop, and I don't have time for Ebay or anything like that..
Secondly, we had our ceremony musician over last night. We had him play the Final Fantasy Fanfare music (what you hear after winning a battle) and he played it perfectly, and made it sound so pretty. So now he's going to play it as a prelude to the recessional (they're even in the same key) I can't wait, it's a secret he won't even do it at rehearsal, and I know members of our bridal party are going to die laughing!
I'm just happy we get some of our nerdy flare in there, becasue we love music, but videogames are also a very huge part of our life!
