So the wedding was yesterday and I have some time today before we leave on our honeymoon so I just wanted to pop in and let you know how it went.
Everything was great. There were several little hiccups or things that went wrong, but I really worked hard to make sure nothing bothered me. Everytime something bad happened, I just shrugged it off and didn't let it get to me.One of my bridesmaids left right after the ceremony, because she wasn't feeling well.....I just told her, if you think that's what you need to do, then ok. There was a few other things, but nothing really all the big. Most of my guests didn't stay for the whole wedding. The wedding was over at 9pm, but at about 8:15 the only people left were the wedding party and a few others. It worked out nicely though because we had wanted to take a ferry across to Seattle to get ferry sunset pics but with the wedding ending at 9, it didn't work out, but since everyone was gone so early, we ended the wedding a little early and were able to catch the 9:15 ferry.
I thought my hair and makeup was done so beautifully and I felt wonderful, so nothing else really mattered. I got married, and the wedding is done. I can say that I am so happy to be in Maui tomorrow and happy for our money to start being our money again, instead of wedding money!
Oh, BTW, we did have the guests that didn't bring us anything at all, not even a card...and several of them were in the wedding party.....and others guests. I guess its just a lost art to bring someone a gift or at least a congratulatory card on their wedding.
