So FI was asking me about the boards and what different boards there were. I was telling him about the ones I post on, like DIY and DW, and the others here.... and then I had a BIG realization... apparently I'm an Offbeat Bride hahaha
Not sure why I didn't figure this out earlier lol, I mean here's just a few details about our wedding:
- My engagement ring is a black diamond, my wedding bands are rubies
- I am have a VERY gay Man of Honor who has been my best friend for EVER lol
- My sister is taking my mother's dress (I asked my mother and she's ok with this) and altering it A LOT... she's taking the sleeves off to give it a sweetheart neckline and backless bodice. She is also putting black crinoline underneath, adding a black sash and black beading. The reason we went backless, to show off the tattoo on my back that I got in memory of my father who passed away when I was 15. I have told my photog about this, and they (married couple) are SO excited about photo ops to include the tattoo
- FI and I are both Christian, and attend church. Believe it or not, our Pastor, knowing all this, is still going to travel (DW) to perform the ceremony and is ok with all the 'out of the ordinary' details, which I LOVE about him
- My favourite song of all the music we've been talking about for the wedding is a Vitamin String Quartet version of Sweet Child of Mine (my fav song of all time)
