ACDC. I would prefer a "toned down" version of one of their songs possible just the instrumentals. I have Googled it but can't find anything. Does anyone have any suggestions??

Vitamin String Quartet also does a lot of other bands in case the song you want isn't an option and there's also Piano Tribute Players which do just piano versions of popular songs.

I was just about to suggest VSQ before reading the replies! That's how we're incorporating a bunch of GNR (my fav band) into the wedding lol

Grr... Okay so I was Really excited about this and told a couple people about it at work today and I got the major stink eye... Someone actually laughed at me and said that is the most un-classy thing they had ever heard of...  

What does everyone think? Is it too much? Is it tasteless? Is it inapproperate?

I say who cares what they say! Most wouldn't even recognize what song it is if listening to VSQ anyway lol!!! I'm sure those same people who say my wedding is 'unclassy' due to my use of GNR lol

It's your day! One of my favorite movie weddings is Muriel's Wedding-when she walks down the aisle to ABBA. It is exactly her personality and made the wedding fun. Do it!

Ignore the heathens; it was really rude of them to even say something about your wedding. A lot of people I think still have a certain idea of how a wedding HAS to be: in a church, brides parents pay, must have attendants, must do garter/bouquet toss, etc.

This is your wedding; if AC/DC rocks your socks off then do it and forget the naysayers. How many people honestly LOVE listening to classical music at a wedding or any event? People are going to get super excited about recognizing AC/DC instead of just playing Bach for Bach's sake.

Honestly, I'm sure the people giving you negative opinions about it probably don't know how VSQ sounds because there's just no way you could call their performances "unclassy". Every song I've ever heard by them has sounded amazing, beautiful, and not like generic Muzak.
