I'm not sure where to post this and this board always has great ideas. I have a very small budget wedding, but a large wedding party. Our ceremony is in a park 30 minutes from our reception venue. The wedding party will take pictures in the park following the ceremony. There are 12 in the wedding party plus myself & fi.
I am wondering if it ok to expect the wedding party to transport themselves from ceremony to location (this would be told to them ahead of time). I just don't see hiring a large bus to drive us all as a viable option $$-wise. I'm not sure if I should try and arrange a carpool-type thing for them (like have 3 specific wedding party members ready to drive all) or have them rely on their significant others (but then they'd have to wait around during pics) or just butt out and let them figure it out themselves. We're not meeting anywhere ahead of time to "get ready" or anything like that, so they will likely drive to the park with their significant others.
Additionally, is it lame if my fi & I drive ourselves in our regular old car? I can't think of anything else that's budget friendly.
