We did our engagement shoot yesterday.  Today I feel like a very sore supermodel.  We drove for 1.5 hours (location just outside Valley of Fire), hiked in for about half an hour carrying all sorts of stuff, and scouted out all the potential sites for photos.  Then we set up a tent "utility room" to change in and put on cocktail attire.  We were posing on ruined buildings, small tree stumps, in pokey reed/stick thingies, and in soft dirt.  All in heels.  My calves are sore from keeping the shoes from sinking into the dirt.  Photog kept shooting until the sun was completely down.  Then we had to pack up all the gear and hike out with flashlights.  We grabbed a late dinner and got home after 10 pm.

That sounds like a ton of complaining.  I loved every minute of it.  We took very artsy, high-fasion type of shots against dilapidated backgrounds with amazing glowing sunlight.  I got to see about 10 shots and they were stunning.  It'll be a few weeks before the photog is done performing his "digital magic".  I'll share them when I can.

that sounds awesome!! i can't wait to see them!

we had our EP last week and did them at a national park, FI was making fun of me because everyone was in hiking gear and i was tottering around in 4" heels

I found out I'm going to be godparent to a little girl today! (found out I was going to be godmother on Wednesday, and she found out the sex today!) I'm so excited!! I wish I wasn't broke, there's a tutu at Target that I need to buy ASAP.
