Just ordered blue dress

I decided to quit letting everybody run my wedding and I ordered a super cute blue dress to wear down the aisle. I'm going to go return my white poofy mess to Davids Bridal tomorrow.

It feels so empowering to finally do something my way.

I'm new to The Knot btw. So congrats to everybody!

Congrats! If I hadn't found a dress that I love in ivory, I would have totally started looking for a blue dress instead.

Well I asked FI what he'd do if I came walking down the aisle in ' not white' and he freaked out. Ugh. He said he's always dreamed of seeing me in a white dress. Bla. So looks like I'm going back to white. But I did get the all clear to change into whatever I wanted after the first dance. Blue dress, here I come!

Thats awesome. Yes its your wedding do as you want. My guy and I are going a bit different as well. He will be wearing a kilt in his familys tartan colors and I will be wearing a green dress.

really awesome no doubt white color has no match but if anyone of you have seen Asian Weddings then he or she will definitely like my words that their dresses and colors really used to be attractive and used to give a look of nature especially the dresses of brides. But if we used to talk about our western culture here we used to see mostly white color now it must be changed something like red or blue...

Please please post pictures when you have them- that sounds like an AWESOME idea! I know someone who got married in a dress that was white with black lace overlay for the entire dress, making for a very cool- gothicy dress style. Needless to say, many people who were 'traditionalists' weren't very happy with her, but guess what, she's the one wearing it, so let her pick her own wedding dress!

I'm considering a dusty pink (see link below) since we've already been together 9 years, have a 6-1/2-year-old daughter and are more or less just legalizing our arrangement. No need for huge day or big dress. I just want sometihng lacy and pretty with a vintage feel.
