Offbeat Weddings

My Wacky Wedding

Just wanted to tell you ladies about a great site called mywackywedding.com I just found this site and there are some good ideas for those of us who are having a more non-traditional wedding.  It lets you rate the offbeat themes and you can even submit your own ideas to be published.  Just wanted to let everyone know..

Re: My Wacky Wedding

  • cool thanks!
  • You've only posted twice and it's both promotions for this website. Makes me think it's yours. Please don't spam the boards or you will get reported.
  • Lilmissscareall,

Please do not respojnd to any of my posts again if you will saying things like that.  I just started posting on The Knot because the idea of a blog is to share ideas and information with others.  If my first posts were about a website I found that might help to give some people ideas, then I'm sorry to offend you.  If I find some useful information anywhere for a goth/vampire type wedding I will be sure to post them again.
  • My wedding has a very dark color palette, the primary color being black.  I think I will use a deep blue or purple as an accent color.  I'm not really going for a "goth" look, i just love the darker colors and always have Smile

First off, this is the Internet. People have the right to post how they choose, and you cannot dictate how and to whom I can respond. Second of all, part of the TOS that you agree to when you sign up for The Knot, say that you can not self promote and that you can not spam.

Many people come on there and try to promote their business. They pose as bride-to-be's and rave about what great service/product/etc they got from So&So. We recognize them b/c the only thing they post are links to their sites and shameless plugs of their products. When a new person comes on here, doesn't say hello, or anything else productive, it leads to believe that the person is a vendor.

If you are not a vendor, great. Introduce yourself. Tell us about yourself, wedding plans, etc. There's no problem with sharing links and ideas with the other girls. But can you at least understand where I'm coming from when I tell you how you are coming across? I didn't report you, I just warned you that if you spammed the boards, you would be. I was giving you the benefit of the doubt. So, YOUR WELCOME

oh and this is not a blog. It's a message board. Big difference.
