OK, this makes it make more sense.  At first you said your mom invited you to her wedding and I was like "um, so?"  Lol.  I think the way you respond has to be dictated by what your end goal is.  Do you want to reestablish a relationship with her or not?  If so, try talking to her as adults about NWR things (as PP suggested).  Otherwise, I would just ignore the invite.

I know nothing of the background story so I hope I am not overstepping my bounds here but I am going to go out on a limb because I am a huge believer in EFAR (everything happens for a reason) and that timing is never coincidental...

IF you have any interest in re-establishing some sort of relationship with your mom, this may just be the perfect time. you have just entered a new and very happy stage of your life, where you are starting your own family, which I think sometimes makes it easier to deal with family of origin issues. This could be the perfect opportunity to bridge that gap... not saying all will be forgiven and peachy just because you got married and she is getting married but, it looks like both of you are making some new beginnings, and it could be an opportunity for some growth in your own relationship.

I see the invitation as an olive branch, even though I agree its weird...the ball is in your court now if you want to open up communication, or just RSVP no and keep the door shut.

Like I said I don't know the history so I hope I am not way off...you have my support either way

Funny thing is, she did it over the phone. And it was more of you are coming... there are other issues here.
1. I will be in school on her wedding, a Friday morning wedding.
2. Cost. I would have to fly down to AZ and find a place to stay.

So I have a lot to figure out.
As for having a relationship with her, I do not see it happening. She is the kind of person if you take a step forward, she wants you to take 5 more before she does her part.
