Venue Decision!

Hello All,

This weekend we went to look at the vineyard in my hometown as a possible wedding venue.  I never really imagined getting married, only that it would be outside and I always loved the idea of being under a tree.  I especially never imagined getting married in my tiny hometown with two traffic lights.  But in 2008, this vineyard was built.

They have a small pond and a platform that overlooks the pond. From the pictures on the website, this is where I was imagining the ceremony.  Although we had been there before, we didn't remember everything about the place. As we pulled up the gravel road to the vineyard, low and behold, there are two trees in a grassy pasture area that has rolling hills. The first tree was nice.  The second tree was AMAZING. The slightly elevated view is unexpectedly beautiful. You can't tell how neat it is until you are right up to the tree and then BAM.  It is so peaceful and you just feel transported away from the hustle and bustle of everything.

The Tree.  The view of the tasting room, wine making barn, and vines.

The tasting room where the reception will be held. It also doubles as a small art gallery which is nice since I am an artist!

Sorry for the poor cell phone quality pictures, I can never remember to bring my expensive camera! Our wedding will be in May so the foliage should be more beautiful then!

I think I never imagined getting married because I never imagined I would be lucky enough to find a guy worth marrying.  I never imagined that my dream location would even be a possibility and I feel so fortunate that I have found both.
