I'm feeling really discouraged by the responses on some of the other boards. We want a casual/fun wedding that showcases our style/personality....which means no banquet halls and a budget. We found a mansion (previously a library) that we really like and it's in our budget. The place lets us bring our own caterer/liquor, etc...huge plus! I posted asking if it was horrible to have dinner in one room and dancing in another room (like most estates/mansions, the venue is split into rooms). The dancing room is the same size as the dining room so we were planning on having lounge furniture along the walls (couches/tables) for guests to sit. Everyone who responded hated this idea. Does anyone think it could work? I feel like the girls on this board have a more open mind so I'm hoping I can get more ideas and less "horrible idea, look for a banquet hall" responses. Thanks!
