Save the dates Gayish

Hey Guys Girls and other.

I am having trouble finding a save the date card that I like. My fiance and I are getting married in Napa Valley and I cant find anything we both agree on. Anyone have any advise? Or know of some places to look.

I have done the google searches and all that.

Thanks so much for your help!

Re: Save the dates Gayish

  • I don't have any traditional suggestions, but I can tell you that we're batting around the idea of having postcards made of pictures we take (probably with our pets holding signs with our wedding date on them), or using postcards from the area where we're getting married then putting the date on the written area in the back.

Best of luck! Napa would be a beautiful wedding location.
  • You can use Vistaprint postcards (often available free if you register for the site), and use any photo you like for them.

Or just skip them.  They are not required by etiquette.  And in fact, they often cause problems when things turn out more expensive than anticipated, and you can't cut back on your guest list to compensate.

This is a great idea!!!!!!!!!!! We did not do save the dates because everyone knows the date and is probably tired of hearing about it. Word of mouth goes pretty far...

  • www.mpix.com www.whcc.com www.meridian pro.com They have a vast quantity plus the prices are great! L&I
  • I'd look at Vistaprint too, they just added a bunch of new 'wedding' designs recently :-)

Otherwise, like others have said- STDs aren't absolutely necessary either.

Planning Bio-Added FOR SALE page, will be adding more stuff to it soon!
  • We ordered ours from Minted.com
They've got some nice wine country themed stuff.

There's this one, that looks like a wine label:

And this one, that we picked, because it goes with our colors:

  • We used Vista print and just put our picture on a magnet with the date across the bottom.  Prices were great and everyone got a copy of one of our engagement pictures.  We received a lot of positive feed back.  Have fun!

A really great friend and artist offered to do a special photo for us. A vintage Ken doll and a vintage Alan doll in tuxedos with champagne and a wedding cake! It's really awesome! It's also the cover of our wedding website and my little picture thingy on here. Definately outside the box thinking! Cheers and congrats everyone! c+e

  • We had a hard time finding something that didn't look 'typical' wedding.  We liked Royal Steamline but they were a bit pricy and charged quite a bit for customization.

We ended up going with a local Portland desinger - Puddle Jumpin Cards.  Sunny (the designer/owner) is fabulous.  She was open to my million little picky ideas and created something unique and beautiful.
