My fiance and I started a marriage equality website (
http://www.LoveAtFirstWink.com) -- named after how we met! I send him a "wink" online and he responded! The site provides our stories, photos, and videos to put a face on marriage equality. Plus it provides links to LGBT resources, like the LA Gay & Lesbian center where we are both facilitators.
Now we are trying to become the first ever same-sex couple to win a national wedding contest. We are currently #2 out of nearly 7,000 couples and have the best chance of any LGBT couple to win (we have nearly 5,000 votes vs. the next LGBT at about 550).
We need the support of the LGBT community to get into 1st place.
if we win the entire LGBT community wins. The media exposure for an LGBT couple winning a national wedding contest is invaluable.
