Random coolness

I found out tonight that the community choir that I sing in is being considered to sing the Olympic Anthem at some ceremony when the Olympic torch is in Toronto. That would be fun if we are actually chosen!So... anyone excited about the Vancouver Olympics at all?

Once all this wedding stuff is done we will get really excited for it. My sister was choosen to carry the torch around the London area on Dec 22... We are all making sure we go to support her when that happens.

I'm really excited. I'm planning on teaching alot about it to my students this year. I really wanted to go watch some of the skiing but we need the money now for the wedding and my Masters. I'm hoping they'll be around North America again sometime again in my lifetime!

I think it would be so fun to go watch in person, the hotels are probably already booked though.

That does sound pretty cool ring_pop.I watch the figure skating but that's as far as I really get into the winter games.  My daughter dives and there are several national level divers in her club.  They are all focussed on the 2012 Olympics and gearing up for trials for that.  It will be pretty cool to watch if any of them make it.  A couple of them have excellent shots.

What's your choir called Ring-Pop? That would be such an honour to sing at something like that! I'm a terrible singer, and only do so when I'm driving.

We're pretty excited. There are still some curling tickets left that we're interested in since we both love curling. I also really like the figure skating and the ski jumps. We have a friend who lives in Vancouver who has already said we can stay with him if we want so that would be awesome.

We're called Voices, it's about a 20-member choir, and we perform 3 times a year at St. Thomas Anglican Church at Bloor & Huron.
