Bachelorette Parties-Montreal

Hi Ladies,

I am helping a friend out with planning a bahelorette party for a fellow bride and we know some of our guy friends have goen to Montreal for Bachelor Parties and loved it there, they said besides the strip clubs there are awesome clubs and lots of stuff to do.

Is this true for ladies, and if so, what/where do you recommend for us?  We are thinking of taking our friend here.

Are there any companies we should work with.  In googling I found MNT and Monreal VIP but I am not sure if they are credible or if it's better to do our own thing.

Please Help!!

Thanks :)

    Hey there :)
I grew up in Montreal and I'd say every summer Saturday night you can see Bachelorette parties Pub Crawling through the streets.

    Strippers:
281 on St-Catherine St. is the only male danser strip club I can think of. I've been, it's a lot of dudes gyrating with some, little or no clothes on, they also have fun props. You can pay for a lap dance at the table. There's a cover charge and drinks are pricey.

    Clubs/Bars:
Crescent St. has a ton of bars and clubs in a 3 block stretch, usually a more anglophone part of town.
St-Laurent is another street with TONS for bars and clubs, most of these have cover charges and if you get there later than 10-11 you'll be waiting in line.
Trendy clubs/bars change and I haven't live in MTL for long enough some of these may be obsolete but I've always had a great time at: B-Side, Distillery, 737, Karina's, Opera, 1234, Rouge, Orchid, Cafe Campus, Toyko, McKibbons Irish Pub (top floor where the dance floor is), Cheers (now called Campus MacKay), Peel Pub (the new location I've heard is not so great though).
DO NOT GO to Sir Winston Churchill's Pub (also called Winnie's) unless you want to get molested on the dance floor by really pushy guys who don't know what "leave me alone" means.

    Restaurants:
There are so many great restaurants and different types of restaurants you can't really go wrong. You should figure out which clubs you want to go to then pick something nearby. However, one that I will highly recommend for a group is La Milsa, I think on Bishop. It's all you can eat, brazillian meat served on swords, they do have menu options for vegetarians and there are feather wearing dancers that come out from time to time during the meal. It is SO much fun! I'm sure if you mention you're there for a bachelorette, the dancer will even come and give the bride some booty shaking lessons at your table ;)

Finally, I wouldn't bother with a company. There's so much to do you can just show up and have a great time. You can always pop into cool stores like Simons, Urban Outfitter, Forever 21, Le Chateau and ask their staff where they recommend you go for a good girls' night out on the town.

    Have fun!

I live in Montreal and have lived here my whole life.  Kellykins gave you great places.

St-Laurent though has many clubs that don't require cover charges.  You can bar-hop on the street, no problem.  There's a bar pretty much everywhere you look.

Depending on what music you like to dance to, there are also a great amount of Latin Clubs as well.  Copacabana is my personal favorite.  Salsatheque is another popular one and Club 649.  They are all downtown.

Thursdays is also a popular place for bachelorette parties.

I would stick to staying close to downtown since that's where most of the action is and I guess you'd be staying for only a weekend or so.

For restaurants, you will have your fair-share to choose from.

La Milsa is great but you need to reserve way in advance because it's always packed and they don't let you in without a reservation.  There's pretty much anything downtown: sushi, steakhouses, Italian, Indian, you name it.  I'd try and figure out what you'd like to eat and go from there.  Or just hop into any restaurant.

You can also check out Prince-Arthur street.  It has full of restaurants and it hits ST-Laurent as well so you wouldn't have to go too far afterwards to hit the club scene.

If you're planning on sightseeing, the Old Montreal is a walking distance from downtown and I highly recommend visiting it.  It's absolutely gorgeous.  There are also caricature artists (On Place Jacques-Cartier, it's a pedestrian street) which would make a fun souvenir to take back home.

St-Laurent is really good, there is a building that has 3 bar/club all in the same building, ones called Bsides, Pinq Taco, and Upstairs. Its a lot of fun, you can bar hop to all three and not worry about coat check or anything!

theres also Candi Bar on Mount-Royal, which is amazing, everything is bright and colourful, bar made out of lego, and all the drinks come with candy! the only thing is its far from other things, so if you wanted to leave you would probably take a taxi to go somewhere else, or the metro!

just look at the website for the bar, its so fun, perfect for bachelorette party!
