Stamped invitation design

I mentioned elsewhere that I was inspired by Sara's trip to Impress, so I went yesterday, bought some stamps, and have been playing around with them.  Here's what I ended up with.  Obviously, I haven't added the text yet, but I'm loving the look this technique gives you.

It's a lot more girly than I thought FI would want, but it turns out that he really likes it.  Who knew?  :)

Thoughts?

I think the blue/brown stamps match beautifully with the invitation. The pink seems to really pop, maybe adding a blue matching flower will make it a little more cohesive with the invite, IMHO.  It looks really professionally designed though. great job.

I really like them! And how cool that your FI ended up liking them as well! I love the pink flower, it does add a punch of color to it.

Love it! I went back today and purchased the stamp from the first pic I posted and some ink. I'll be posting some pics in a bit. :)

Who knew Carrie... we both had different designs and NOW we might just be stampin our invites! hahaha.

Love the twine/ribbon stuff around the outside.. that'll be a b!tch to mail but it is GORGEOUS with the blue. Also, I love the blue and brown on the inside. I say print some stuff up, stamp it up, and see how you like it with everything altogether. Plus.. i just want to see a completed one. :)

I can't wait to see yours!  You'll probably put my craft dabbler self to shame.  :)<div>
</div><div>The twine is raffia.  I got some to do a CP mock-up, so had it laying around when I was mocking up the invite.  I love it too.  I'm hoping it'll work to mail it.  We'll see.  :)</div><div>

The colors are great and while the raffia looks awesome, it's going to be a super-duper b!tch to mail. If the knot is that big, you will be paying quite a lot extra in postage. one remark - I agree you need to add a touch of blue to the RSVP to help tie together a little better. Also, a suggestion: try moving your vertical design closer to the edges. I think it tends to look better when it's not all perfectly on the page, but parts are off the page (be sure to put scrap paper under so it gets the ink and not your table or other invites!).
