Curtains

So, mom (MY mom lol) and I went to Joann's (a fabric store) today and bought fabric for alllll the curtains in the house we're almost done building.  Thank goodness she can sew!!  I added up everything we would have spent online at JCPenney's (with discounts) and got $1,075.23.  INSANE!!  I figured up the total amount we'll be spending on the fabric and I got $274.42.  DH and I SAVED $800.81!!!!!  I'm so excited.  :P  And I LOVE the curtains because I got to pick whatever fabrics I wanted (as long as they match/coordinate).  If someone you know sews and you need curtains - DO IT!!    I'm sure God should be thanked in there for something - thanks, God!!  :P

Very cool! I wish I knew someone who was a good sewer because that stuff can add up... How is the house coming along? When do you move in?

It's so lucky your mom can sew! That's an amazing savings!! 

Also, I love that you got to pick your own fabric- definitely makes it more fun!

Ladies:
I'll be sure and post pictures when they're done!!  Each room color matches the curtains or coordinates which took forever but I can't wait!!  I'll definitely post pictures when they're up!!

@ Ash - They sell patterns to make curtains if you want to learn!!  I've GOT to learn when I move or I'll be out of luck.  :P
