I hate that I am just finding this board.  I've been frequenting a few others but never looked under Culture until today.  

Since I've found you, I need some help!

Can anybody think of a Christian contemporary song for mothers and grandmothers to walk to?  What about bridesmaids/groomsmen?

I am walking to Jimmy Needham's "Kelly's Song," but other than that, I feel lost and only have 29 days to figure it out!

As for your question, I am not a huge Christian music buff and we'll only be using instrumental so I can't help, but a lot of the girls here are very helpful!

Hi and welcome!  It's always great to have someone discover this board!  My mom and DH's mom walked in to the same song that the bridal party came in to.  We used Canon in D for their entrance. So that's not really helpful for you - sorry!  Emily usually has good music suggestions so hopefully she'll see this and post.

We had the mothers walk in to "Love Is Not A Fight" by Warren Barfield (it was sort of also our prelude).

Sorry I can't help you with processional music - DH composed ours and the guys were already at the front when the ladies walked in.

The bridesmaids are coming in to Canon in D, and the mothers/grandmothers are coming in to "I Can Only Imagine" by Mercy Me. The lyrics don't really have anything to do with marriage or weddings, but we are only having the piano played- no lyrics.

Welcome to the board, girl!  :-)  When I found this board a few months ago I was SO happy.  We have the love of Christ in us, and that can definitely help to keep us joyful.  I think we all have our moments but I'm SO amazed and happy with the spirit of love that we get on this board. 

I'm also doing only classical stuff (brass quintet) plus a Matthew West Song (When I Say I Do) and Newsong (When God Made You), so I don't have a lot of suggestions, but Emily's list is a great starting point!  One song that I absolutely LOVE as far as contemporary Christian music is "I Will Be Here" by Steven Curtis Chapman.
