Funny / Interesting Mistakes!

Okay, last week we received a gift via BBB shipping from one of our friends.  I guess she ordered it in the store and had it shipped to us.  It was our flatware chest!!! :-)  

Well ... I opened the box, and in it is... a gift-wrapped, red single-cup Keurig coffee maker!  We already have a black single-cup Keurig, so I figured I'd just take it to the store and exchange it for the originally intended gift (after the wedding, of course). 

Today ... the mail comes and in the box is the gift-wrapped FLATWARE CHEST from the same gift giver with the same note inside!  I guess BBB recognized their mistake when someone else received the flatware chest instead of their red coffee maker.  

So... we ended up with a free coffee maker from BBB's shipping mistake.  I've never had that happen to me before, and since it was a gift, I'm okay with keeping it and exchanging it for something we want from our registry later on!! :-) 

Anyway, funny how things can happen sometimes!! 

Anything funny happen with you ladies lately?

They must have noticed their mistake pretty quickly. I can't think of anything at the moment similar to that.

Haha that is pretty funny. Nothing like that has happened over here, but I also haven't had a shower/ received any gifts yet.

That's fantastic! We had something similarly generous happen from Crate and Barrel. My grandmother ordered us a Le Creuset baking dish. The 3.5qt version. I know because I helped her do it online. Then, we received the 5.5qt version, which was about $200 more expensive. Crate and Barrel couldn't figure out how to just exchange it,  so we HAD to buy $200 of stuff... yay for free stuff

FI was like "maybe I'll take the coffee maker to work" and then I'm like "but honey, we could get a place setting of our china pattern!"  Haha, we'll figure it out soon!!!
