Unity Cross

Have any of you heard of the unity cross in place of unity sand or candles. I think it's really pretty but not sure I'm willing to spend the money on it.

Have any of you used this? or have any ideas for something other than unity sand or candles? I want something that I will want to display in our house and not just toss after the wedding.

Sorry, I've never heard of it.  The unity candle is so popular at my church and with my family (even the non-Christians)  that I didn't even know there was the sand alternative until I came on here.  Go figure...
July 16, Our Wedding Day, is also International Juggling Day!

I have not heard of the unity cross, but you could always do the cord of three strands thing (God's knot). You and your new hubby braid three strands together to symbolize uniting you, your husband and God all as one. (Ecclesiastes 4:12).

We are thinking about possibly doing this at our wedding. Friends of ours did it at theirs.

I love the idea of a unity cross, but I can't afford it. I wish I knew someone who's let me borrow or rent theirs for the wedding.

I know, I saw it in a magazine and thought it was a great idea until I got on the website and saw the prize! It's so pretty, and I would display this in the house, but is it worth the price? I don't really know.

I have issues with it because of their wording, but that's another post for another time.

As far as throwing out a unity candle, say what?!  We got a glass candle, had it engraved with our names and wedding date and scripture, then filled it with purple oil (wedding color).  It sits on our mantle and we light it every anniversary.  And WOW!  It was way, way cheaper than that cross!

I am doing a cross between unity sand and unity candle. we are using granluated wax and using it like unity sand but it makes a candle. We will light it when we are in our home for the first time as husband and wife. I like the unity cross idea as well.

Here's a link to the unity wax it's the four pics on the bottom row: CLICK.
