H is the saver and I'm in the spender. I'm so bad I have to have an allowance to rein it in.

this applies to FI and me as well. He is really good about paying off debt but can be the worlds worst impulse buyer! It makes it really hard to buy him gifts. <div>
</div><div>I am trying to save more money but it is so hard living on your own and living pay check to paycheck. I have gotten a lot better about using credit cards but sometimes at the end of the month when I need groceries or gas, I have to use a credit card. Ugh, why is the real world so expensive?</div>

  • I am definintely the saver and FI is definitely the spender. I control all our finances now, including his personal account after he asked me to do when he blew an entire paycheck once and couldn't tell me what on lol
  • Depends on the thing. I am the spender on the trivial things (clearance aisles are my weakness) and the saver on big things, he spends on big things and not at all on the little.

  • I'm the saver, and he's the spender.  I've gotten him to watch spending on the small things, and he's gotten me to generally loosen up a bit.

  • I am the spender, H is the saver.  Now, you have to understand that I do save, but H is super-saver so I look pathetic next to him!

  • We are both savers for the most part. Neither of us are extreme, but I we both tend to try and save money when we can.

    This is us!

As we were registering for gifts, FI would be like we don't need to put that on there...  And then some things he would want and I would be like we don't need to put that on there...  So for us it just depends on what it is.
  • I'd say we are both both!  I can be an extreme saver on a daily basis but I can also get carried away shopping at Old Nacy.  My H is good at saving on most things but he spends a lot of money eating out and beer!
  • We're both savers, for sure. We'll save and save and save toward something big, like our house. Of the two of us, DH is the bigger spender, but even that is next to nothing. ;)

I was the spender and H is the saver... But since we've been married, I have been saving a lot more. And we both have been giving to others more.
  •  I save... and then i spend cheap and wisely...
