What was your wedding date? July 8, 2011
How did you choose it? We wanted a summer wedding since
we're both teachers and my cousin was getting married in
June and we wanted ours to be far enough away from that
one. So we chose July and chose a Friday because the
reception venue's minumum number of people for a Saturday
wedding was more than we were inviting. So we chose the
8th because it's always been my fave number and we started
dating on Nov. 8th.
What is your favorite season? I always thought it was summer.
But now it's a tie between summer and fall.
Favorite thing about that season? Summer- I love the warm
weather, blue skies, swimming, flip flops and
sundresses/skirts! Fall- I LOVE pumpkin flavored anything,
boots, leggings, football and the pretty leaves.
Favorite Bible verse? I have "Proverbs 3:5" tattooed on my
shoulder blade, which is "Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding." It got me through
some hard times in my life. I also love Philippians 4:13,
Philippians 4:6-7, Galatians 5:22-23. There are a lot I love!
favorite detail about your wedding? I like our theme. "Our Love
Story". The tables were names of love novels, the
save-the-dates looked like bookmarks, the invitations and
programs opened like books, etc. I also liked that we wrote
our own vows.
favorite bible character? Can I say Jesus?? I also love Paul. I
love reading his letters and it's so cool that he went from
presecuting Christians to spreading the gospel and
encouraging his fellow Christians. I also like Esther.
favorite city in the USA? Pittsburgh, of course! I also love
New York! I've never been west of Texas, though, so I might
love more cities if I ever get the chance to visit them.
Best gift your DH ever got you? My engagement ring/proposal!
Also, for our anniversary this year he got me a book where
we fill in all kinds of details about us and our relationship.
So sweet!
What kind of dog/cat/pet do you guys have or want to have? We have a dog named MJ. He's a border collie/pit mix (we think). He's 3 years old and he's awesome!!
