about once every other week.  DH talks with his parents at least 4 times a week.
    2. Who are you closer to, your mom or dad?
    My mom.

This is hard.  Really any Thanksgiving in NY with them - also with my grandma, cousins, aunts and uncles.

  • 1. How many times a week do you talk to your parents? Once or twice sometimes more. When my brother was in basic training last year and my grandfather had a stroke, I was talking to them daily.

    2. Who are you closer to, your mom or dad? Definitely my mom

    3. Favorite memory with your parents. I'd have to say my wedding. They were having the time of their lives and you couldn't pry my mom off the dance floor. We laugh every time we watch the wedding video because she was out there all night! You can even hear her singing along to Donna Summer's "Last Dance".
  • 1. How many times a week do you talk to your parents?  I call my mom once a week.  I talk to them more if I need to - my parents and I all dislike talking on the phone, which means we don't talk a whole lot.  I see them once a month or so though, and we talk a lot in person.

    2. Who are you closer to, your mom or dad? It's pretty equal.

    3. Favorite memory with your parents. Time spent around the dinner table growing up.  My dad has this ablility to make my sister laugh so hard she almost falls off her chair.  My family will linger around a meal for hours, talking and laughing.
  • 1. How many times a week do you talk to your parents? Usually 3-5. Mostly my mom- Dad's not a huge phone talker.
    2. Who are you closer to, your mom or dad? I would say Mom in that we talk more, but Dad in that we can have some really deep heart to hearts. I honestly have a lot in common with them both- for better or worse haha.
    3. Favorite memory with your parents. So many! Dancing around the house with Mom to Christmas songs as a child, the talks with Dad... and of course, my wedding. My dad held me together before we walked down the aisle when I was crying... and our father daughter dance was wonderful. And my mom was there with me all morning getting ready and she had such a great time at the reception.
  • 1. How many times a week do you talk to your parents?
I see my mom at least once a week and talk to her 1-2 times per week.  My dad is currently living overseas and I talk with him maybe once a month.

    2. Who are you closer to, your mom or dad?
Mom.  My dad and I have had our issues over the years.  Now that my parents are separated and my dad lives away, my mom depends on me a lot more.  I'm always surprised when people are a "Daddy's Girl" or really close with their dad, I just have absolutely no understanding of how that happens.

    3. Favorite memory with your parents.
Camping at a local campground near home, "tobogganing" down the giant sand dunes on snow sleds and inside a foam canoe.
  • 1. I talk to them at least 4-5 times a week, see them around 4 times a week too. I'm really close to my famliy.

    2. Definitely my mom, we are best friends.

    3. I just like the times that we hang out playing games or watching movies together.

  • 1. I talk to my mom a few times a week, I talk to my dad probably once every week/week and a half.

    2. My mom. We talk about EVERYTHING. Especially during wedding planning we're talking all the time.

    3. Too hard to choose! My parents prided themselves on being "memory makers" so there's quite the selection!

  • 1. How many times a week do you talk to your parents?
Too many to count... I live with them! I didn't find a job straight out of college so I had to move back in, and I've never gotten my feet under me. I'll be leaving when I marry Ryan and move to India!

    2. Who are you closer to, your mom or dad?  My mom. I'm not distant from my dad though, but Mom and I are very similar and think the same way so it's easy for us to communicate.

    3. Favorite memory with your parents.  I don't know specifically, but one thing I'll always cherish is how affectionate and loving they are with each other. They always greet each other with a kiss. They've been married more than 31 years now, and are still very much in love.

    2. Who are you closer to, your mom or dad? My mom but I'm a total Daddy's girl!

  • Let's do a survey!

    1. How many times a week do you talk to your parents?
Probably 2-3 times a week, on average. On the phone. Maybe more on FB...

    2. Who are you closer to, your mom or dad?
    My mom, definitely.

    3. Favorite memory with your parents.
I have separate ones for each:

Dad - It was a couple of years after I'd moved away from home. I was back for the summer. My dad is big into tennis (was pretty competitive in high school) and I'd taken tennis as a PE class and was loving it. I really, really wanted to play this one day, but it looked like it was going to rain and Dad said his wrist was bothering him, or something. I whined a bit, and he gave in and we drove to the tennis courts. It promptly began to rain, before we even started playing, and I was crushed. Dad tried to make the best of it, though, and suggested rallying a bit in the parking lot where it wasn't so slippery. At that moment, I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that my dad loved me.

Mom - She spent two weeks with me in Europe this summer, because I couldn't find anyone else to go with me and I was tired of traveling alone all the time. We stayed in Paris for a few nights, then did Spain and LOVED it, and then Italy. My favourite part was finding the restaurant with the cheapest wine, then sitting outside eating pasta and drinking the night away.
  • 1. How many times a week do you talk to your parents?
Less than one, unless you count texting. I text my mom about once a week.

    2. Who are you closer to, your mom or dad?
    Probably mom.

    3. Favorite memory with your parents.
This is going to sound bad, but I don't particularly care for my parents. They weren't ready for children when they had me and I ended up being raised by my grandparents because of all my health problems.
