Remember how I all excitedly told you Ryan had a job?
He was supposed to start training on Monday... but he didn't. They hadn't gotten together enough people for training (they wanted to train the hires enmass to save money) so he was told he wasn't starting... only after he emailed the HR contact just a couple hours prior to training to confirm! They didn't even contact him on their own!
He's looking for a new job, though he's not burned this bridge and maybe it will come through. But they seem very unprofessional.
I'm so sick of waiting. I was rejoicing because with him having a job finally, finally we could start moving forward with our plans.. and now that's been ripped away again.
Ryan's confident this isn't working because God has better plans. He's probably right.
I'm applying myself to job applying as well. I just applied for this incredible summer missions program where I'd be helping youth do weeklong mission trips in an urban area and getting paid for it! I'm also applying for summer camp jobs. With me moving to India in the fall, I'm not looking for traditional jobs. I have transportation limitations, plus with these jobs your board is included so the money I earn I can easily leave aside for our future.
Also, I updated you below on the 3 prayer requests I made last week but no one replied so I'm guessing you didn't see it.
My best friend's father did NOT have a heart attack. He had severe anemia. He was hospitalized overnight and was sent home. Prayers still appreciated.
My friend's brother who was in the ICU died Easter morning. His funeral was today (I didn't have a way). He was 50 and we don't know if he was saved though we can hope (he was reading the Bible towards the end; he spent the last few weeks incoherant/unconscious so perhaps he found Christ but wasn't able to communicate it to anyone.) Prayers for his family appreciated.
The prayer request for the person who is self mutliating and suffering trauma is unchanged. Please pray.

"I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels." -Isaiah 61:10 NKJV
