XP: Need crafty ideas

I'm starting to figure Christmas gifts for people, and I think I want to make them myself this year. Anyone have links/patterns/ideas for cute (and hopefully re-usable) containers? Maybe easy to sew bags or purses? And crafty guy gifts would be appreciated too.  TIA!

ooh, i decorated totes for my BMs as gifts. they're pretty cheap at craft stores and they have lots of cute little things to sew on like appliques like flowers and stuff like that. they also have iron on letters that are cute too
