Hello all. I've posted on here before but that was months ago. I've been engaged since April 2010 and I won't be married until January 2012 so I never felt that engaged until recently..with official planning finally happening Anywho, I'm so glad I found this board. The other boards are pretty catty and I can't relate to a lot of it. I'm excited to get to know all of you as we plan our weddings.

Thank you everyone! I can already tell this is a great board! Well a little about me... I've been with my fiance for 5 1/2 years. We met in highschool in Health class. We were learning about marriage and family and had to be assigned spouses for a project. We got assigned as husband and wife

So far I have my dress, (Yay!), venue, church, and honeymoon. I got all of that taken care of last fall but I have not done anything since then because I've been so busy with school and my maid of honor duties for my friend (She's getting married this July). I haven't really felt engaged because I've been doing wedding stuff for everyone else but me (4 weddings in a row) but it's finally my turn =D

Good luck planning, and I know how you feel I got engaged in July of 2010 and getting marriend in October of this year.  I find my engagement long, and at times hard since we don't live together or spend the night at eachother's places.  I cannot imagine adding those extra 5 months.  But I do feel if you can get through a long engagement you can get through anything!

Welcome!  I can't wait to hear about all of your planning!  I know how you feel with a long engagement.  FI and I got engaged in February of 2010 and are getting married in November of this year - for a total of 1 year, 9 months, and 5 days engaged!
