Sig/Profile updates bringing the fail

Has anyone else been having trouble trying to update their sig or avatar?  I keep getting the "Login failed for user '(null)' Reason: blah blah blah" followed by a stack trace. Boo hiss!

I should send TK my resume and convince them to open a "Seattle office" in my living room!

haha, you should! i've been getting a ton of errors. It started with not being able to update my signature. Now about 10 times a day I have to go back and sign out and sign back in because it tells me i'm not logged in.. its annoying!

Niq - another MOD just posted on the board about a similar issue and mentioned  "I knew that bad code was throwing errors, so I looked and found an error in the code that was generated by the knot for tickers." Is it a similar thing you're coming across?  Is it just the sig or are you also having problems with the avatar?  I want to collect as much info as I can before I post a reply to that thread to add  to it.

I have had a combination of what Tygirl and Niq both said.  When I was trying to put the invite ticker in my profile, I got an error code & stack trace EVERY time.  I was using a code that sarack had given me.  For some reason, TK decided that I am not allowed to use that code, because when I looked in the Seattle Bio, that code was different.  So I used that.  And it worked fine.

BUT, I often get Niq's "user null" something about an SQL server or something like that.  If I hit refresh once or twice it goes through though.

To make a short story long, yes, Niq, would you please send them your resume?

Of course! I go to reproduce the problem this morning and it works. Well hopefully it works for everyone else who's having problems.

I thought I was going crazy, I have been trying to update my sig for what seems like ever and I get the same error message.  Pulled my hair out a little, maybe I will try later today to see if it is working properly.

Okay I tried this again today after someone on my month board complained and it's broken again . I tried "update profile", "Change Avatar", and "Update Signature". I also tried clicking on people's names next to their posts, which is supposed to bring up their profile on TK, but that didn't work either.

Me too.  Sometimes it works, no prob.  Others (like right now) I can't even open my profile to get to change siggy or avator w/o getting repeated error messages and refreshing does not help.

I posted to the board asking about the siggy issues and just waiting to see what the TK gods or any other mods have to say.   Will update when it gets a reply.
