potential chocolate fountain crisis!

A month and a half ago this girl I work with said she could get two chocolate fountains for me. GREAT!! i've always wanted a chocolate fountain at my wedding! Last week I texted her to ask when I could get them and she said she'd probably pick them up the next day. I texted her the next day and she replies "oh, i forgot." Called her this morning and she didn't answer. It's too late to rent one and I really don't want to buy one! This, and the forcasted "isolated thunder storms" are the only things I'm really worried about. Argh... my whole reception is focused on the fountains so I can't just not have them.

Yes yes you can just not have them.

You will still be married to the love of your life and people will be there to be happy and celebrate with you.

I know it seems like a big deal, but try to step back and realize its not. I think that will help with your stress level.

I agree with aggie. In nice bowls, the dipping items will be pretty and delicious without the chocolate. Your caterer can rearrange the tables so no one senses anything is missing.

If your friend can come through, great!  If not, try to focus on the wonderful friends and family who are coming to celebrate this big moment with you and your soon-to-be-husband!! :-)  I know how disappointing it can be when things don't happen like you want them to.  I've been there... many times ... when planning events.  Just do what you can to get everything you want, and let it go if you end up not being able to get them.  De-stress as much as possible, so you can enjoy the day!! :-)

As the others said, it will totally be ok if you don't have the fountains.  Talk to your coordinator if you have one, your caterer if you don't, and let them know of the change in plans.  I bet they'll have great ideas for how to make it work.

Also, are you sure it's too late to rent them?  Might be worth a call to see!  It's only Wed, if you could find some that you pick up Fri you'd be good to go!
