Whatcha doin for Valentine's??

Anybody celebrating Valentine's day? I know we have several girls in LDRs and I was wondering what everybody is up to :) FI is coming to see me tonight (haven't seen him since Christmas) so I'm passing time unsuccessfully on TK :) I bought him a toolset that I thought was small, and when it got mailed to me and I picked up the package it was HUGE. We're talking 25lbs. Woops. He'll love it, but I feel like an idiot, LOL!

So what are you all doing to celebrate Valentine's day?

I mailed FI's Valentine's present to him.  My roommate's FI has to be back on base Sunday night, so on Monday we're getting pizza, ice cream, and chick flicks and having a girls' night in.  :)

This is our first Valentine's Day in a long time that we aren't LDR. I have off on Monday, so I'm going to have lunch with FI. Sunday is our engage-a-versary, so we're also celebrating that.

    Happy Valentine's Day!

We're not really doing anything... I have to work all day and then I have opera rehearsal in the evening. :( We might do something on Wednesday during the day though.
  • We've been celebrating it since Wednesday in a way and will until the 16th lol.

Last Wednesday I gave him his gift and card, last night he gave me my gift and card, tonight we go to Monster Jam, and Wednesday we're going to The Cheesecake Factory (since it will hopefully be less crowded rather than actual Valentine's Day).  Usually we just exchange chocolate and cards so this year is pretty awesome!!

Have fun and stay safe everyone!!  :)

We went out for dinner last night and then DH left this morning to go to where he lived before we got married.  He comes back Monday night.  I got him tickets to a Disciple show at the end of this month.  I hope he likes it.  I know he really likes Disciple so hopefully he will.

Unfortunately, nothing this weekend or on Monday as the FI is up in Boston, but I will see him over Presidents Day Weekend.  But this weekend I'm stuck working at home for stuff for my job, and I'm already burnt out from the past week.

I"m going after church tomorrow to his house - he's got something secret planned (but I think it involves eating at my favorite mexican resturant in his hometown)

Aw, sounds like some fun couples things you guys are going to do!

My FI is going to surprise me with something on Monday, not sure what exactly.  Probably a nice dinner, just don't know where yet!  :-)  He said he already picked out my v-day gift, and I've got 2/3rd of his present, so I just have to get the other part, and wrap it up!! :-)

I have to work and am on call Monday, even though it's our "engage-a-versary."  (I think I like that word, lol.)  So tomorrow we are spending the day together and exchanging cards.  I think he is getting me some flowers as well, but that's probably about it.

We're heading down to spend the evening at the beach and we're taking the camera and some new lenses (we are aspiring photographers) and we are going to take pictures of each other and the beach and we will top it off with a nice dinner :)

DH and I *were* going to go to the Grand Canyon for Valentine's Day, like we did last year, but stay overnight this time (it was 8 hours of driving for about an hour FREEZING at the canyon, but it was fun anyways). However, between the wedding, and getting me moved in to his place, and all the LDR driving we've done every weekend for months, we decided to stay in town and take it easy. It's been a nice relaxing weekend so far, and I may see if DH wants to go out for dinner tomorrow or something. :)

Oh, but we ARE going skiing on Tuesday with his family to celebrate his brother's anniversary and father's birthday. :D

FI and I went to a RED concert a few months ago, and Disciple was an opener. They are a GREAT band to see live. And it's so awesome to see/hear "Dear Ex" live. :)

Not sure what we're doing yet. Last year it was my turn to plan something, so now it's his turn. Might get some dinner and do something low key since he gets home from work around 6pm. We'll see!

We would have gone out to dinner this weekend, but we're both sick. We're actually only had a few hours when both of us are awake at the same time!  Today our only together time has been when we watched the webcast of the 9am church service.

Aw, jenn I hope you feel better soon!  I hate being sick... sometimes I feel like someone is telling me to slow down when I get sick, though!! :-)

We went out to dinner at Atria's Saturday night. Tomorrow we are just going to exchange gifts (if he's feeling better- seems like he may be getting sick, too!)

We went out to dinner at the chinese buffet.  What was funny was that he looked at me and asked me if I wanted to go to the chinese buffet and I was already thinking that that was where I wanted to go. lol. He's always reading my mind.  We have been together a year and a half now and he has never given me flowers.  We always joked about it, but he does a lot of other nice things for me.  Well, I got my first bouqet.  Yeay! lol.  Oh and he loved his gift.  I made him a deck of cards that was 52 ways I love you, and on each card was a different reason why I love him.  I hole punched the cards and then tied them all together with a ribbon.  He loved it so much he cried.  I love those moments.  Nothing like a homemade gift from the heart.
