Bridesmaids Gifts - CHECK!

Our Mary Kay rep had an open house today and I got a major start on my BM gifts, and some Christmas gifts too.

BM cosmetic kit will include:
matching eye shadow - got 3 of same color ("granite") for fair-skinned girls, and 1 darker shade for my really tan girl ("sienna")
matching lipstick ("Rasinberry")
Refreshing Eye Mask
Eye Make-Up Remover
Nail Polish to share - my MOH gets to take hers home
The cosmetic bag was free!
Applicator brushes and blending brushes were free!
Going to add a little ziplock with cotton balls
nail clippers/file kit
Mini - Handkerchief
fashion pearl necklace and earrings

I figure that I want them to match for the wedding, so I can pitch in to the effort and cost.  Mom is planning to pay for everyone to get hair done at a salon together on the morning of the wedding day.

Also got a gift certificate for my mom so she can get her TimeWise cleanser and Moisturizer when she is ready, a tube of Satin Hands for mom, a Satin Lips mask and protection kit for me (it's cold and my lips crack in this weather!) ... also managed to get Mary Kay Men's body spray and after-shave in a SUPER appealing scent for my fiancee!  I think my Mary Kay rep also said I qualified for some kind of free gift... body moisturizer kit or something.  It will be fun to give myself multiple "spa days" in the upcoming months.

MAJOR Check for me today!!  Felt good to get something done besides deciding on venues and vendors.

EDIT: I have until Wednesday to change the order -- MK rep agreed that the darker shade would be good for my tan girl since the others are so pale.  Is this a good move, or should I get the same shade for her?

July 16, Our Wedding Day, is also International Juggling Day!

Glad you got that done! They will love the kits! Very practical and also very cute! I haven't even thought about bridesmaids gifts or groomsmen gifts yet. The girls will be easy to buy for, but guys are harder, I think.

I think the one shade darker for the tan bridesmaid depends on what shade it is. Is it like a beige or something? I don't think one shade will make a huge difference anyway, so you could probably keep the darker shade. I would only exchange it if it is WAY darker and will be a drastic difference.
