i HATE my FG's dress!!!

My colors are red, black, and white. My BM's are all wearing black satin dresses from DB.
The mother of my FG has been looking for dresses and found this particular dress and really really liked it. i was worried that it was black...and maybe there was TOO much black for the wedding party. She ordered the dress to make sure that she would get this sale.
We decided that maybe we could put a red tutu underneath it...so add some color.

but she just got the dress in and put her daughter in it..and i HATE it! she put a tutu underneath one picture...so that we could get an idea of what it would look like - hate it.
took the tutu off - hate it.

i think i am just gonna find a new dress in red and have her wear that.
i feel bad that she bought the dress but i HATE it..and its not fancy enough. plus it was ONLY $30...i even told her that i would pay for a new dress. goodness...i'll even give her the $30 back!

what do you girls think?

Yeah, little girls are cute and are supposed to wear things like pink, white... you know, girly colors.  It's one thing to have an adult woman wear black, and another thing for a little kid.  It's kind of like a Halloween costume otherwise.  I'm glad it wasn't expensive, though.

I have 3 flower girls. Two of them are almost like my own (I was their nanny) and they're six, they'll be wearing this dress (without the flower):

Then FI's niece, who is 3, who refuses to wear a dress that doesn't "twirl" will be (most likely, I don't know if it has been purchased yet) wearing this dress from David's:

It kinda looks like a halloween costume.... I'm glad you don't like it haha. I'd be replacing that asap....

The dress doesn't seem like it's a flower girl dress. It looks like something a girl would wear to the wedding. I think it's cute without the tutu but not for the flower girl.

ya...i just texted my friend and said that i think we need something a little more fancy..since she will look silly next to the ring bearer when he is in a little tie and suit.

i said that i will pay her for the dress and purchase the FG dress (She is a single mom of 3 and only 24). I dont want her in ALL white....but i think a cute red and white dress would be nice. and something more fancier.

hopefully she is okay with that. I said she can wear that to the rehearsal dinner, or bridal luncheon.

I agree it looks kind of holloweenie. But on th bright side your flower girl is adorable and Im sure she will look cute in whatever you end up putting her in!

Yeah that dress is hideous.  It looks like a goth sundress, lol.  My color scheme is the same as yours, and I would be getting her a white dress with a black/red sash or something.  I'm not having a flower girl though, so I can't really help much.

What about one of these?  Not sure if they come in the right size.  Tell me size and I'll be happy to do more looking!

The top's not bad, but the bottom- ugh. And I agree that black isn't my fave color for a flower girl. Good thought with the "wear it to the rehearsal dinner" comment. That was nice of you to think of that.

Yes - my thoughts exactly! It looks like a Halloween costume - maybe something Raggedy Ann would wear for Halloween <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" />
