Okay, can someone explain...

what a siggy challenge is? I see everyone posting them!

Oh, and some lingo short-hand breakdown would be great also. :) Like what does HM stand for? :)

Thank you! This newbie will have it all down soon :)

    Siggy Challenge- There are no points, or winners or losers.  It's more common on month, local, and cultural boards.  The mod or another reg picks a theme and those who wish to participate post a picture in their sig that goes along with that theme.  Most of us have photobucket or similar accounts, because your pic must have a web address, not html code.

    How to post a picture in your signature

    (the picture must be found on the Internet or you must have it in a photo-sharing Website, like PhotoBucket, Flickr or Snapfish): (Don't use Shutterfly to host your pictures)

    Instructions from this post: http://forums.theknot.com/Sites/theknot/Pages/Main.aspx/wedding-boards_etiquette_nwr-picture-sig?

    1. Find the photo you want to use and right click it. Click Properties.
    2. Highlight the Address/URL (it begins with http://) and click copy.
    5. At the bottom of the new page that opens, there is a box called Signature. You will use the blank space below that for the HTML code, detailed in the next steps.
    6. Use this code, but change the items in green and delete the stars*:
    <*img src="tinyurl" width=250>
    7. Replace the word tinyurl with the tinyurl code you created in steps 1, 2 and 3.
    8. Replace the number 250 with any number up to 350. Anything over 350 means your sig is too big, thus annoying the crap out of everyone. 250 works just fine.

    HM= Honeymoon

    There's a huge list of lingo here, towards the end of the article: http://wedding.theknot.com/wedding-tools-help-center/the-knot-about-us/articles/community-frequently-asked-questions.aspx

    PP = Previous Poster
    OP = Original poster.
    Those two were confusing to me when I first starting reading.

    Also
    WR = Wedding related
    NWR = Not wedding related
