Dear FI (DH) Friday

I know it's early ladies, but I won't be near a computer tomorrow, Saturday OR Sunday so I'm going to miss Dear FI (DH) Friday AND the siggy challenges; which I will be posting on when I get back Monday so you ladies better check them.    I'm just teasing, but I definitely want to be a part of this one.  (I hope I'm not being rude or bossy or stepping on toes - I promise I don't mean to.)

Dear FI,
Only 45 days to go!!  I can't wait - and I also can't wait to leave at 4 am to drive down to Arkansas, not only to get wedding details done, but house details done as well!!  Maybe I'll FINALLY see the longhorns next door to us.  I'm so glad you can drive and stay awake that whole time because I'm goin to be passed out.  :P  I love you to pieces and am so grateful to have you around.    See you soon!!

P.S. - I'm so glad you're getting a haircut tonight.  Not only do you think you need it, but your beard and mustache definitely need it - said with love.  :P

I'm so glad you're back to a normal work schedule and we can actually spend time with each other when you're not passed out asleep in the armchair. Thanks for putting light switches up in the house so I don't have to root around in the dark!

Dear FH,
I MISSED YOU!!!! I am so glad I get to see you today after three nights of me closing at work...even if you are sitting glued to the TV watching March Madness. So long as you let me cuddle next to you and you enjoy the yummy St Patty's Day dinner I'm cooking, you could stare at the ceiling for all I care. And thank you SO MUCH for making the decision that its a WEDDING PLANNING weekend! Let's go pick out cardstock...! And I wouldn't be upset if you worked on printing envelopes either...just a thought... Love you future hubby!

Dear H,

I'm really not looking forward to my work trip to Omaha.. not only is it not a destination I'd be excited to go to, but this will be our first night apart in a loooong time. I'm also nervous about flying since I'm still not 100% over the labyrinthtitis and I won't have you with me to comfort me. Hold down the fort at home even though I know you won't miss me too much with all the take out you'll get to eat and xbox you'll be playing.

Dear FI,

Thank you for running all over creation with me this week on your Spring Break!  We got the photographer booked and contract signed, met with our DJ and paid down the balance, hired the DOC, and oh yeah we did a bunch of fun stuff together too, lol.  I am glad that we were able to spend so much quality time together this week, and I am looking forward to spending the day with you again Sunday before I go back to work and you back to class/work.

Dear H,

I was thinking tonight about how you had only been to one play before you met me.  It's amazing how far we've come together!  I've done so many things I'd never done before you - long bike rides, learned to ride a motorcycle, all kinds of crazy things! - and you've done things you'd never done before me, like being involved in theatre and flying on a plane.  I love how much we've grown together.  I remember people questioning us getting maried at 22, saying "but you grow and change so much in your 20s."  We always responded "yes, but we'll grow and change together."  I'm so proud that we have done just that, finding ways to share our passions with each other.

On a totally different note, thank you for pulling that old air conditioner out of the wall!  The kitchen looks so much better without it.  Now we just have to paint the patched area and hang the art!  You totally rock my world.

Dear FI,

I'm glad that your surgery went well and I hope you recover quickly.  I love being here to take care of you.  You've taken care of me so many times, Lord knows it's my turn.  I was such a worrywart all week about your surgery going well and you feeling better soon, so I'm glad that worry is behind me.  Try to cut me a little slack...Lord knows I'm not the best housewife.  Anyhoo, I love you and I'll take care of you forever.  You're my baby and the best part of my day, every day.

Dear FI,

I love you and miss you so, so much, but if you say, "ya know" one.more.time in a conversation, I am going to come through the phone.  I can't believe we're bringing the truck load of my stuff and my car out there 2 months from today...and then I'll see you 2 weeks after that for the wedding...holy cow.  Did you ever think this would happen when you turned around in class and introduced yourself.
