Prayers Please

About a week ago I was having stomach pains, nausea, lack of appetite and other flu-like symptoms and since FI had the flu that's what I figured I had as well. Well, the abdominal pains stayed after I started feeling bette. Since I had them for a week and they weren't getting any better, I decided I should go to the doctor. They ran all sorts of tests (took blood, urine sample, ultrasound, x-ray) and called me today with the results. I have to get my gallbladder removed. :(

I've never had surgery before (aside from wisdom teeth removal) so I'm scared about that, and I have a 2-3 week class that starts next week and I would REALLY LIKE to be able to take it. Please pray for my pain levels (it fluctuates throughout the day) and that when I do have my surgery I have a quick and speedy recovery.

I'm sorry, Drama...I'm praying for your pain levels and that you'd find the perfect time to have the surgery so it doesn't interrupt anything. Let us know when you have it!

Oh hun. I am so sorry. At least you know the cause and it can be remedied - that is a wonderful thing. I said a prayer for you right now - and I pray that God gives you peace of mind. Don't be frightened, we're praying for you!

I am so sorry to hear you possibly may have to go through surgery. Surgery can be a scary thing for sure but know that God is watching over you and will guide and protect you.

Oh man!  I'm so sorry.  If it makes you feel any better, my 62 year old father had his gall bladder, appendix and part of his colon removed in March.  He had surgery on Tues and went home on Thursday evening and his recovery has been awesome.  3 weeks after his surgery he was out tilling their garden.  I'm sure that you are in better shape than he was, and you're definitely younger, so I bet you'll see a similar, if not faster, recovery.

Oh yikes!!  Luckily, a surgery like that is pretty common, so you should be ok!  Sending an e-hug your way!!

    Praying for you.

If it helps, I have gall bladder issues as well, but my doc is on the fence about surgery. I keep mine under control by watching what I eat. High fat/greasy foods and spicy stuff is the worst for me. Oh, and avoid alcohol and caffeine if you can - they can be hard on your gall bladder too.

I said a prayer for you! So sorry about this, but I am glad there is a solution coming soon!

Thank you all! The pain hasn't been too bad I just have to be careful what I eat (which is not fun for me). I'll find out tomorrow what we're doing next.
