nothing is really new with me. My Fi is back from a week long of work... so i am excited about that. hehe.

I'm here!  I'm working from home today.  FI is coming over and we're having a cookout.  That's about it, haha.

I'm here! Not much exciting is happening here! We have 3 friends coming over tonight for a cookout. FI and I have been up since 7:45 getting ready. I made cake pops (!), pasta salad, and set the table area. We've been cleaning and we are off to pick up a movie from Blockbuster to watch tonight. FI is grilling and I'm excited! This is our first time "hosting" as a couple! Happy 4th, girls!

I'm here! It's been super quiet over the last week...

No plans for the 4th for me, really. I'm getting a new phone today. And my grandparents are BBQing this evening. I'll have to drive back to the college town before fireworks. Lame.

I'm here! Heading over to FI's house in a little bit. Going to cook out for the 2 of us. His brother and sister in-law may come over later but that's up in the air.

I'm here but I'm still out of town.  We're leaving SC to return home later this afternoon ... I"m DREADING the traffic on I-85, Ugh!!! 

I'm busy checking off things on my list too -- 12 days until the wedding, and we are at ground zero of everything, little things messing up, etc.  Nothing to major.

Done over the weekend:
- finally finished thank-you notes from the bridal shower on 6/25
- finished the seating chart for the wedding reception!
- finished the address list with MOG for the rehearsal dinner
- finished menu with MOG for the rehearsal dinner
- Preparing last "vendor" checks to be put in our special envelopes for the day-of payments
- Completed the re-shoot of my bridal portrait on Thursday morning!


Still to do:
- order canvas print of bridals (probably Tuesday)
- print table cards for reception
- give final headcount to and confirm menu with reception venue (probably Tuesday)
- Print and cut cards for favor tags, reception placecards / menu cards
- Write thank-yous for the latest cards or gifts received
- Confirm HM reservations (probably Wednesday)
- Get some insurance quotes
- Print, collage, fold, and ribbon-join the ceremony programs ... at least I most have days off unless I have an interview, so I'm VERY excited about my level of flexibility right now. 

Praying for a positive response from last week's job interview -- I REALLY REALLY REALLY want that job.  Don't know if it will happen, but supposedly they are calling references for the candidates that made the top of the list.  The HS principal's email said that I was on the list of people getting references so maybe that's a good sign. 

Oh, and we're finally going together to get the marriage license on TUESDAY afternoon!!!!!   So excited.   We have a run-through with the pastor (he won't be at the rehearsal) after we pick up the marriage license, so we'll probably go ahead and give it to him then.  Oh, and meeting with the wedding director after that, so that we're ALL on the same page as far as next week's rehearsal.

HAha, I just typed a dissertation, huh?!  LOTS going on over here!!!!!

I'm at home catching up on chores and e-mails. DH is working a tile job today, but hopefully not all day long. Boring, I know, but last Fourth of July was when he proposed, so I think that was enough excitement to carry me over for a couple of years.

I do have most of the week off, so we're going to the lake on Wednesday with DH's family. That's always lots of fun

Yay, I'm glad you're all here and having a good day! Faith- I love cake pops!!! When I first found out Starbucks started selling them, I got so excited! 

We are going to my parents' for a cookout today and then fireworks tonight!

I'm home from vacation and while I'm a little sad to have to go to work tomorrow, I am very happy to be home with DH.  I missed him.

We haven't done much today.  I got home late last night and we slept in this morning.  He's been working on editing a video and I've been cleaning/doing laundry.  We are going to go grocery shopping and out for dinner tonight.  Exciting stuff.

I'm back in town!  Spent the weekend up in Boston, and we were busy getting our new place set up.

We're home in Kansas.  DH's parents are here for a visit.  They bought us a window AC unit!!!!  FIL is installing it...DH is "supervising"...it's pretty hilarious. 

We're having dinner with our pastor and his family tonight and watching neighborhood fireworks from their porch.

I'm a little late.. but I'm here! Back at work after a hectic long weekend.

DH and I closed on our house on Thursday, moved a few carloads over and then left to drive up to SC for the night since my brother's graduation from the Marines was on Friday morning. Friday, we drove back with my family and spent the last night at our apartment. Saturday was moving day, but we sent my parents to the beach for the day so they could enjoy their vacation and we could get stuff done.

Sunday, we went to the pool and then shot off some fireworks in the neighborhood. My family left yesterday, and DH and I bought a grill for the new house and are still putting stuff away and building new furniture. The house feels so huge right now, but we're so thankful we're in our "forever house" and can't wait to grow into it. Very exhausting weekend, but so amazing to watch my brother graduate from Parris Island and spend the weekend with my family since we hadn't seen them since Christmas.

We didn't go anywhere, but it was the last weekend DH and I will have at home together until August. We looked around at some houses, and I cooked a lot. We watched Harry Potter movies because he hadn't seen any of them, and I am a little obsessed. 

Exciting news - DH's brother is getting married this weekend. We leave on Thursday to head to Houston/Beaumont.
