To buy or not to buy? That is my question

So I have been salivating over this Dyson cansiter vacum for about 7months now and I found out that Fi can get half off of one as a perk at his job. So I'm seriously debating if I want to get it or not. We need a vacum and I know that.  It comes with a 5 year warrenty through Dyson and I'm pretty sure we could get a warrenty through his job. But is it really worth it to spend to spend $200-$250 on a vacum cleaner? I mean it is a lot better than $400-$500 but I'm still debating if it's worth it to buy. I'm very torn on this matter and i want to make a decision soon because it will take 2months for it come in. Fi and I have talked about it and we still have no clue.

I say go for it!  I love mine, and it is so nice knowing that it will be around for 5 years. I have had other name brands that did not last.

That's what we are thinking. In 5years it will be worth $250 we spend on it.

Not all vacuums are created equal and Dyson is far superior than the other brands. You will keep that vacuum forever, so how is it not a good investment? Go for it!

If we can afford one (eventually)... we'll be buying a Dyson.  If you have the $$, and your FI has a major discount on it, go for it!! :-)

It's a good investment and since you need a vacuum cleaner, I would go for it.  That's not a bad price at all (I spent at least that much on my vacuum cleaner 9 years ago and it's a Kenmore!)

Yes.  I bought a cheapo vacuum cleaner that broke down and caught fire after one year.  It's definitely worth the investment.  You can put it on your registry... that's what we did, and someone bought it for us!

Do it! We put one on our registry, but if we don't get it, we will be going out and buying it (it's not a Dyson, but still..)

After FI spent nearly an hour looking online at reviews and what not, we did decide to buy it. We are going to wait a few weeks just to make sure we have the money but it's going to happen before the wedding.
