My fiance and I are pretty bummed that a lot of our good friends can't make our wedding.  It is incredibly upsetting for us, him more so than me!!  How do people deal with so many declined RSVPs??!!  I want this to be a happy day, not a sad day, and I'm finding myself crying more than usual.  Is this normal?

    Some one on my club board just said that i was focusing on the negative when i posted about my bridal shower... She said that I should think about all of the people that i love that WILL be there..

    Maybe you could try thinking about that? It really helped make me feel better..

    It does suck when people can't make it to things that are important to you. I'm sorry!

    I think the weather is getting to all of us... that is a bummer about RSVPs. When people found about our date, i got a lot of upfront declines and yeah it sux, but just makes it sweeter then you find out somebody you didn't expect is coming.  I would say take a minute to be sad about it and then move on and concentrate on all the positives.

    LOL didn't think about how crappy the weather has been!  No wonder I'm so sad and depressed!!!!  :)

    The upside is your budget!  And maybe adding some guests you didn't think you could invite?

    My biggest concern is that we will get a lot of declines, but only from FI's friends and family b/c they are all on the east coast.  I will feel so bad for him if all my friends and family come and only a few of his do.  At first they all said they were coming, but I was skeptical.  Now there's quite a few who've said they can't afford it.  I'm afraid there will be more before we're done.  And his little brother will be in Iraq.  : (

    That is a total bummer. I know my step father won't be at my wedding because of personal reasons.
