We had a sit down meal so we had our youth pastor give a blessing on the food and the evening. The DJ introduced him just before dinner was about to be served.
When I was MOH for my friend she had it done at the same time the I made my little toast/speech- right before the meal is served. I think we will do something similar.
There's only 1 way 2 say those 3 words and that's what I'll do... I love you
We are just doing cake and lemonaide and tea so I don't think we will be praying. I would just let the individual tables pray for themselves especially if it is a buffet.
We had our officiant which was an elder from our church back up north do the blessing before they started calling tables up for the stations. I think it was right after the toasts from my MOH, the best man, and my dad.
We did! The DJ introduced our minister right after the first dance. After the blessing the DJ started calling up tables for the buffet. Granted, the salads were plated, so a few people started eating before the prayer. *cough cough* DH.

<div>LOL--Come on! Don't you know that salads don't count? And neither do chips and salsa at mexican restaurants. It's okay to eat them before the blessing (I'm sure that's in the bible somewhere) :)</div>

You see the cheese, crackers, and meatballs didn't count during the cocktail hour. They're like snacks, just like chips. :) How many freebie rounds do you get before the meal actually starts? Is it like calories where they don't start counting until you get to the real deal? Maybe the calories don't count until you pray....
We had a cocktail hour before dinner while we were doing some pictures. Then we were introduced into the reception with our WP. We did our first dance, had our toast and then my pastor gave the blessing. That was all before we had dinner.
