Is this what marriage is like??

I came over to FI house tonight to spend some time with him.  Well, he's currently sleeping and I'm sitting here on my computer..... I'm about to head home so I can go to bed too!

How has everyone's night been?

Haha yep marriage can be like that sometimes. H is downstairs almost every weeknight ironing, doing work, etc and I am upstairs on the computer and doing other things. So busy! But neither of us ever goes to sleep until the other one is there and we always pray together and kiss goodnight before we go to sleep. And we eat dinner together every night no matter how busy we are.

We have our independence and have things we don't do together but I just think that makes our together time more special.

We went out for dinner tonight and missed all of the trick-or-treaters but I gave our candy to a neighbor to hand out.  It was a nice evening.

I have a gush moment. I hurried over to FI's house after work to help with the last part of trick or treaters. We were sitting in the living room where we could see people walk up the sidewalk. We don't have a TV in there yet as we plan on using mine when we get married and move most of my stuff over there. We were sitting there talking about "this time next" how we will be married and FI was getting excited over the decorations for the house for Christmas next year. It made me smile and add to the excitement of wanting to get married. Hurry up June.

YH irons something more than once every four months?!  Score!
Yes, it is like this sometimes.  I got home from class at 7:40 and DH was asleep on the couch with Lavern (guinea pig).  He was up for an hour and a half before going to bed.

Sometimes. Many evenings DH is on his computer and I'm on mine. But we're in the same room together and interacting and sharing stuff. I've been watching him play Madden tonight while half listening for trick or treaters. (We have no doorbell, and the knocks are pretty quiet.)

I'm totally expecting marriage to be like that often. If we kept up our dating schedule when we're married it'd be straight up exhausting. I am sooooo looking forward to just doing life together.

Tonight we flipped between football and house hunters. By the end of the evening FI was placing bets on which house they would pick and why haha. I expect a lot of low-key nights like this which I am PUMPED for!

I am totally jealous of a man that irons hahaha... it was early in our relationship that I ended up ironing FI's shirt because we were going to a fancy restaurant together and he was going to leave with horrible wrinkles all over lol

FI and I often do the movie together thing, but one of us always ends up falling asleep on the other lol

I find marriage to be like that at times as well where H is downstairs watching sports while I am upstairs. There is nothing wrong with alone time as long as it is managed properly. So in other words, "me" time shouldn't be taking the place of "us" time.

Yep, that's what marriage is like. Especially when you are both really really exhausted. It's not always that way though

    Thanks ladies!

I can't wait until I don't have to leave his house every night!

We spend so many nights just in the same room doing things... it is so great to just do life together.
Currently, we are in the same room, both on our computers, me doing work and him playing a game.
Being able to come home to him every night is just the best :)

Yeah, me too. I hate ironing. I don't even own an iron! I only have a few items that should actually be ironed and I just take them hot out of the dryer and hang them up so they don't wrinkle - works for me! FI irons tons of stuff, including ALL his gazillions of work shirts and pants (he seriously owns lke 3 times as many cothes as me) and he even irons his JEANS! I told him to be prepared that when we get married, he'll have to continue ironing his own stuff - he said that's fine with him -yay!

Yea I don't iron anything. H irons his work shirts and pants for each day. I am very happy to have a husband who is willing to do those kinds of things.
