How soon to the wedding should they be?

As the MOH, I'm throwing the bride a bridal shower and bachelorette party (I'm in NorCal and the bride is in SoCal. What's the timeline each event should be?  Is the bridal shower supposed to happen 1 month before the wedding?  Is the bachelorette supposed to happen weeks before the wedding?

I don't think there is any specified time on when these should happen.  I know my shower will be sometime in May and my Bachelorette party will probably be the weekend before my wedding.  This is due to OOT BM's and other guests.

There is no specific timeline for a bachelorette, I don't know about showers. Closer to the wedding will be more fun, but mine will be probably be in April. One of the girls will have college exams in May and June, another one is pregnant and due in May, and was hoping we'd have the bach party before the baby arrives.

Not really a specified time...My shower is at the end of April. What I've read & experienced with others, the shower is normally 2-3 months before the wedding...bachelorette anywhere from 2 weeks to a month away from the wedding...

Do what works best for you. My shower is the last weekend in April due to my sister's schedule. I am not having a bachlorette party. See what the plan is for the bachelor party, all of the bachlorette parties I have been to are on the same weekend. Good luck!

There isn't a specific time. I would do the bridal shower at least 1 month before the wedding and the bachelorette party at least a week before and not the night before.  No one wants to wake up to a possible hang over the day of their wedding.
