Going off the communion post....did you have communion at your wedding? Why or why not?

No, we didn't. We take it each Sunday at church so we didn't see a point in having it as part of our ceremony.

I always thought 'communion at weddings' is synonymous with 'Catholic'.  I know that's igonrant of me.

We won't be doing communion at our wedding becuase we don't really see the point.  Communion at church is fine and appropriate but I don't think it makes sense at a wedding.

We did not.  DH didn't want to not offer it to everyone and that would have been difficult logistically, especially since you must be an ordained deacon or pastor to serve communion in my denomination (same as the church we were married in).

We did, with just the two of us. We wanted it to be the first thing we did as a married couple.
