Okay so we all have our moments of "please pray for me" and I've had my fair share.... well, today I have a LOT of praise to share. It's "small" in the scheme of things, but God has really shown me some awesome ways he's working to make my life improve and happy every single day.
1 - I picked up my new prescription shoe orthotics yesterday from my podiatrist (foot doc). I've had this issue with the broken foot for 3 years now... and TODAY is the first day in 3 years that my foot was the SAME size in the evening when I got home from work as when I woke up in the morning. 2 casts, 2 boots, 3 years, and now orthotics... It's been a long time coming! Hopefully by the wedding ALL of the swelling will be GONE!!
2. I have found some job openings to apply. I've also hit a couple of brick walls where I've apparently been "too late" or the opening was filled before it was posted, but at least I've been able to find some openings.
3. FI and I talked seriously about my job situation, and moving, etc, and we're both on the same page about it. It's a tough page to be on, the "we'll move where your job is" page, but since I'm technically the breadwinner right now, moving to a different metropolitan area could give him the chance to find a job that ACTUALLY makes more.
4. My FI and I have our first party this weekend -- a couples' shower -- basically anyone and everyone from his side of the family (and out 4 hours away from us now) is coming for a drop-in and eat style party this Saturday. I know that they're all looking forward to coming. Last time I went to visit his family, I was battling "Walking Pneumonia" and it was REALLY tough and I was REALLY grumpy. I'm hoping I'm MUCH better on Saturday so I can feel like myself this time!!
5. I found a job opportunity for a dear friend of mine -- she's been looking for a full-time job for a while and I was visiting somewhere and the person I was talking to described "who" they'd like to fill the position and said "do you know anyone like that?" and I'm like YES I DO! I told her about the position tonight and she's going to go for it tomorrow!!! :-)
6. We sent out invitations on Monday and tonight at Choir practice I already had some people asking me where we are registered! WOW! So many wonderful people in my church. They're SO supportive of me and I'm SO glad that God has given me the musical ability and perseverance to be a strong member of the church choir. My mom always says "people watch to see what you do" and she's probably right, because I always feel like they are. It definitely keeps me accountable to the all-knowing eyes!!! :-)
7. Okay, so God has just found some AMAZING Ways to bless my life personally. I'm definitely not rich, and making it month-to-month isn't easy. But, God has provided for me, even down to my health needs, and it's just amazing to think about that.
Enough gushing from me ... (I could probably go on all day....)
