Maid of Honor/ Best Friend

Hey everyone,

My Maid of Honor is my best friend!  I just recieved a phone call from her telling me that her husband and her were going tomorrow to a Lawyer to get a divorce. Her husband had a 3.5 yr old child previous to them getting married (my friend has been called mom for the last 3 years) a 1 yr old and she is 32 wks pregnant.  I dont have the words to help her at all!!!

I am posting this hoping that anyone who reads it will pray for her. I dont want to post her name just because but I know God knows her and the whole situation. I'm so scared for her and at the same time feel quilty because im planning a wedding while she is facing a divorce.

I said a prayer for your friend. Don't feel guilty about planning your wedding - but you are certainly a good friend for being considerate of her feelings in all of this.

Praying!  I know how you feel - my best friend was my MOH and she and her husband (one of our groomsmen) were in counseling for infidelity during our wedding planning time.

Wow.  You're being so considerate - you're right that it's awkward to plan your wedding while your best friend is going through what may end up as divorce.  I also hope reconciliation will be a possibility.  I'm praying for her to have peace through this difficult time, no matter what happens.  God is in control and he is planning hope and a future for our good in every situation!

Thank everyone sooo much for your prayers just keep remembering her and her husband things are gonna be rough awhile!

Im sure there is a chance but this has been rocky for awhile. It was the first time divorce was mentioned though. most times they just talk about seperating. she told me she still Loves him and thats a good thing. I'm just not sure whats running through his head right now. Marriage is a two way street and my friend knows this AND agrees shes messed up to but shes willing to work on things.

I know God is in control we all have to just keep praying!

Thank you all very much!!! She has been put in the hospital until she has the baby because of the stress
