Wedding stuff!

This week has been a fantastic week for wedding stuff!  On Saturday I got a hold of the priest who said he was almost positive that we could have a wedding in his church on our date!  I am very happy; I have always wanted to get married in that church!  A dream come true!

Another awesome thing just happened!  We decided on our photographers and they look just amazing!  I am so happy we are going to use them!  Woohooo!  Everything is coming together nicely.

We still need a venue but we are still looking and leaning towards one that looks promising.  Hopefully we will find a few other ones too, as we need something that works with our budget.

How did you spend your three day weekend?

Sounds like you had an exciting and productive weekend!

My weekend was awesome!  A great way to end summer and go back to work.  Friday kind of sucked, but H was off and that was all I really cared about.  I had to get cavities filled at the dentist, which rendered me sleepy and just "off" most of the rest of the day.  It was nice though, H and I just cuddled at home and ate popcorn while we watched movies.

Saturday was great.  I had a sewing class from 10 to 1 that was fantastic, and then I went to my parents' house to celebrate my dad's birthday.  He wanted to go to a Cruise-In with classic and antique cars, so he and Mom took their classic car (1974 Triumph TR6 - it's a British sports car) up and we met them there.  It was fun to see all the cars.  I'm a bit obsessed with 57 Chevys and there were several of them there, so I was a happy girl.  Afterward we went back to their house for dinner and cake with homemade ice cream.

Sunday was good too.  Our friends hosted a bbq.  H had to work so I went alone, but that's all right.  These friends are getting married next June and she found her dress yesterday, which was super exciting.

Now I'm just doing laundry and getting things ready to go back to school tomorrow.  I can't believe the new school year is starting already!

    Rebecca- what kind of music?
Drama-  What is your major and what are you taking?  Or are you a teacher.  I am seeming to remember you are a teacher.  If so what classes are you teaching :)

<div>I was a double major in theatre and psychology.  Now I teach middle school theatre and one class of yearbook.  Tomorrow it's just 6th graders, so it's not a "normal" school day.  We have an assembly in the morning where all the teachers get introduced, then they go on tours and do ice breaker games with the 8th grade leaders, and after lunch they go through a very abbreviated version of their schedule - like, 10-15 minute long classes.  I think they're doing a scavenger hunt, too, and then ending with an assembly in the afternoon.</div>

Sounds like things are coming together!

I worked most of the weekend. We were supposed to get our engagement pics yesterday but they got rained out and moved to Sunday. We did go look at wedding bands yesterday and I found one I really like.

So happy to hear that everything is starting to come together for you, Raven!

My weekend was pretty great. Went camping with H, my two BIL's, and a whole bunch of our friends. H and I only went for one night since it was about a 6 hour drive for us and we wanted a day of rest. But I'm starting off my four day week with some routine testing at the hospital that I'm not excited about. Plus, H had to go back up to school, so I'm pretty much doing this solo...blah.

Oooh sounds like everyone had pretty good weekends! While my dad and FI were at my uncle's house drafting their teams for fantasy football- my mom and sister (MOH) and I started and finished (!!) all of my DIY centerpieces. They came out beautiful!!! FI and I also spent all of sunday at the Bronx zoo, which was amazing. All of the animals were AW posing for pictures, it was amazing :) The weather was beautiful and it was a great getaway for me and FI.

This weekend was great! FI came up to spend the weekend with me and go to my uncle's wedding. So we got to spend some time with the whole family. We also went and looked at wedding bands. I've been trying to decide what I want for about 9 months and just haven't liked anything with my ring. This time I ended up trying on some that I hadn't ever thought of and finally picked mine! I'm so excited about it!!

Unfortunately, I ended up getting sick on Sunday so FI and I just hung out watching movies, reading books, and being lazy.

We also got the mock ups of our wedding invitations and were able to pick those out! Now we just have to wait for them to be printed!
