Today is national day of prayer here in America. Are you doing anything special? I know there are a lot of speeches rallies and public prayer groups across the nation.

No matter what you do please pray for our communities, our states and our country and those that serve and protect our rights to pray.

    Well...I go to a large, fundamenal Christian university and today is the first day of finals.  There's A LOT of prayer going on in Central VA right now. :) 

    I'm student teaching at a public elementary school this semester, so the Faculty/Staff Bible Study group met earlier than usual this morning for prayer time.

    I'm not doing anything special-- not much happening around here in terms of events. But, we are certainly praying some extra prayers for the country today!

    yeah nothing around here either.  I just have heard of numerous events across the country.

    There weren't really any big events around here, but I was glad that we had a national day of prayer this year.  I know its existence has been threatened in the past.

    I've been on vacation this week so I am not aware of what's going on in the world.  My niece turned 3 today so I was pretty occupied with playing with her and her 1 year old sister.  I will have to spend some serious time in prayer tonight.

    We had a service at my church and different people spoke about/read verses about/prayed for different things such as: the government, military, media, businesses, education, churches and family. I also sang with the praise choir and I sang a song with my pastor's husband. It was really nice (although poorly attended, which was kind of sad).
