so i came to my hometown (about 2 hours away in the mountains) on thursday night for a friend who had a homebirth.
it was a beautiful and amazing experience...and i was going to leave friday morning...but its nowed like 2 feet and now i am still here and missed a day of work today! my boss IS NOT happy about it...(and neither is my paycheck...i have exactly 5 months from my wedding and need all the hours i can get)! i check the weather and it is saying that it isnt gonna stop snowing for like 10 days! the pass to get over is requiring chains or snow tires...which i do not have! i literally havnt left my friends house since thursday since all the snow. her neighbor is awesome and has kept the walkway shoveled for us...but the roads are crazy!!!
i dont have good tires..and even if i can get over the pass with out anyone stopping me to put chains on....i am scared to drive in all this snow!!!
its not worth the risk to me. if i didnt have a job...i wouldnt care...but because of my job, i really need to get back. the hotel i work for doesnt have a lot of ppl to cover shifts and one girl is out sick for a few days. literally my boss is working 16 hours straight to cover both shifts (hers and mine).
please please pray that the snow will stop and i can make it home, hopefully by tomorrow...but at least by tuesday night (i work wednesday at 7am).

there was absolutely no snow on the grass when i showed up on thursday night. today (saturday) there is about 4 feet!
