What has inspired you this past week? a sermon? a verse? a person?

The Good Friday Tenebrae service at church. My pastor went through each of the 7 things Jesus said while He was on the cross, then there was a song, then one candle was extinguished and the lights got dimmer. After she talked about the final thing He said, "it is finished", she closed the Bible and extinguished the last candle and the room was pitch black and silent. We just sat there and contemplated Christ's death for a few minutes and walked out in silence. When the pastor shook our hands, I felt something in my hand. When I looked at it, it was a nail... WOW.. So moving and emotional. I cried so hard, but it was such a good reminder of what He did for us. Some of you may have gone to these services every year, but I have never been to one and it really moved me. Jesus deserves all our praise!

For all the mighty and wonderful things he has done for us, it is only the beginning of what there is to know about our awesome God! I just thought that was so great. That for all the wonders He has worked for me, He's just getting started writing my story

Hmm... mine right now is "God is In Control" as sung by Twila Paris.  I also needed to hear "Be Still My Soul" (instrumental version) because I am in turmoil with this whole job mess. 

Another inspiration - Pastor said "Our Faith is DEAD without the RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ.  And since we have proof, an empty tomb, eye witnesses, and scripture, we know that the resurrection of our Lord and Savior happened.  Therefore Go, and share your faith.  People can argue with written word, but they can't argue with your experience."

God himself this week is my answer.  I've been struggling for quite some time in getting a relationship back with Him and it is only by His timing, grace, and love that I've come back to Him and that I've learned to trust in Him!!  GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!!  Last night I was crying hysterically and prayed for peace.  For the first time in a VERY long time I prayed for peace with a knowledge that He would comfort me, not a hope that He would with a prayer worded like a question.

something that has inspired me is one of my worship leader's song he wrote. the lyrics are: "i waited patiently upon the Lord, and He inclined and heard my cry. He pulled me up out of the miry clay. He set me feet upon a rock. He gave me beauty for ashes and joy for my morning and praise for heaviness. He put a new song in my mouth and a crown upon my head. He gave me life forever more. He's been so good so so good to me, Jesus. He picked me up and He turned me around and He placed my feet on the solid ground. Hallelujah. You've been so good so so good to me, Jesus. I've got love, joy, peace, righteousness in the Holy Spirit."

This inspires me! :)

I was also talking about how amazing it is that God drawing us to himself. So special. And so different than the way human-to-human relationships work.
